MAMASC (Mid America Miniature American Shepherd Club) Goals are:
To encourage and promote the breeding of purebred Miniature American Shepherds in such a manner as to bring their natural qualities to the highest degree attainable. It shall strive to educate and assist all owners of the breed to improve their knowledge of the breed and its history.
To protect and advance the interest of the Miniature American Shepherd and to encourage ethical breeding practices and sportsmanlike competition at all dog shows, trials, and other events.
To conduct Conformation shows, Agility Trials, Rally Trials, Obedience trials, Tracking tests, Herding Trials and/or other events under the rules and regulations of MASCUSA and AKC.

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION
Membership is from January 1st to December 31st. Membership renewals are due by January 31 each new year.
Membership Dues:
One family member: $15.00/year $25/2years $35/3 years
Family membership (2 adults): $20.00/year $40/2years $50/3 years
Juniors (under 18) $5.00/year – non voting membership
Each additional family member: $5.00/year

Mid America Club Awards and Activities
MAMASC is active in hosting 2 herding trials, 2 agility trials and 2 Farm Dog Certification Trials per year currently. Members are encouraged to participate in the planning, execution, and participation in these trials. MAMASC has been the coordinator and benefactor in National Goodwill Ambassador Awards. It also sponsors the herding trials at MASCUSA Nationals. Awards may be certificates but may also include other types of awards at the discretion of the Board! Members MUST be current as of January 31st to be eligible for awards. If membership is started later in the year, awards consideration will begin at the time of membership.
Team Activity Pages
As information is submitted during the year, each dog/handler team will be highlighted on the Team Activity Pages. Activities, awards, and pictures of the teams will detail events the team has participated in during the year. At the end of the year, a certificate may be issued with the same information on it. This is a great way to keep tract of the teams' progression through the years. Team pages will be archived as space allows on the web page.
Year End Awards for Performance Excellence in all AKC Sports & Conformation.
This program highlights the teams who achieve titles in each recognized AKC sport including conformation. Each team will receive 1 plaque, or other award, as determined by the MAMASC Award Team and Treasurer. The awards will recognize all AKC titles earned by each qualifying dog team for an award period.
Yearly Versatility Awards
All dogs will have their names and information on the website under the qualifying category with a link to your website! Yearly Versatility Awards are currently a beautiful plaque or yearly updated plate! (MAMASC reserves the right to limit the amount of time and information displayed on these pages but guarantee at least one year, as long as the site is up and running, and to change awards.) All events (including AKC and non-AKC) qualify for the Yearly Versatility Award. See the Versatility Award page for information on how your team can be added to this site!
Goodwill Ambassador Award
The 2019 National Goodwill Ambassador Award was a tie with our own Mercedes Osolin in the tie.
Other prizes may also be awarded as determined by MAMASC Board.
